This half-day program will explore the constantly changing world of short-term residential rentals providing an overview of the legal aspects and application of the building code. Regardless of what they're named (airbnb, VRBO, vacation rentals, etc.) this program will examine how to apply the Uniform Construction Code, Zoning Ordinances, Stand-alone Ordinances and more. We will also explore the use of a recreational cabin as a short-term rental - a question that has come up more frequently in recent years. This introductory course is ideal for any municipal member dealing with Short Term Rentals such as, but not limited to, the Zoning Officer, Code Enforcement Officer, Building Code Official and municipal leader as well as Short Term Rental owners.
