The Pennsylvania Construction Codes Academy (PCCA) makes every effort to present courses on the topics listed on this website; however, the list is subject to change.
PREREQUISITES
Although most courses offered by the Academy require no prerequisites, all courses are directed to practicing code officials and experienced individuals in the construction and design industries. Those without a basic working knowledge of construction codes may have difficulty with the pace of the courses. Self-directed, independent study in addition to workshop attendance is highly recommended.
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
Students will receive credit hours commensurate with course hours toward their continuing education requirements under the Uniform Construction Code. Continuing education credits are not related to passing the certification examinations which are required for state certification in each category.
EXAMINATIONS
PCCA does not administer any examinations other than the Building Code Official (BCO) Certification Examination, and cannot accept or process applications for other testing agencies. Please see the training and certification requirements for information on examinations.
