The Code Official’s Guide to Zoning: UCC & Zoning Issues
The adoption and implementation of the 2018 International Residential Code took place during the first quarter of 2022. Also included will be:
2018 IRC Update
This webinar will examine the most common types of post frame structures found in residential and commercial uses, including accessory structures. The program will offer insights into what regulatory requirements need to be addressed for the different types of structures including: zoning, Uniform Construction Code, stormwater management, E & S control plans, grading, land development, etc. Special focus will be paid on how to properly apply provisions of the UCC and whether any post frame structures can ever be exempt or excluded from UCC compliance.
Post Frame Construction
This class will cover 2015 IECC requirements for mechanical systems with an emphasis on duct leakage testing requirements and putting the V back in HVAC. The session will help attendees better understand the benefits of tight construction combined with whole-house mechanical ventilation and enable them to determine the minimum required ventilation rates for a given home. The course will also describe the differences and pros and cons of several mechanical ventilation strategies and help attendees identify and resolve common installation problems.
Residential Mechanical Systems: Whole-house Ventilation and Forced Air Distribution
This webinar will explore requirements and exemptions under the Uniform Construction Code as well as residential and commercial code requirements for elements that are not excluded or exempt from permit.
Exterior Site Elements Regulated by the UCC
This program is especially timely since Chapter 34 of the IBC no longer exists as an option for existing buildings complying with the UCC, and the IEBC must be used in all cases.
The program will briefly address the full scope of compliance options under the IEBC but will focus on the differences between Levels 1, 2 and 3. Content will include scoping for alterations, specific sections of the IEBC that must be complied with for each of the different levels, accessibility requirements for each level, and unique plan review issues.
