This 2 hour program will examine options for residential additions. The UCC definition of what constitutes an addition will first be explored - so we can determine the difference between an alteration and an addition. Secondly, we will examine an addition that is created by adding horizontal floor area vs. an addition that is created by adding vertical floor area. (Out vs. Up). We'll examine what code requirements apply equally to either option and we'll then examine code requirements that are unique to each option.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions and have discussion with the presenters
