IMC 101 is designed for code officials, inspectors, installers and contractors, but open to any interested party. This two-day course provides an overview of the key provisions of the 2021 International Mechanical Code. After attending this course, you will:
Course Description
A two-day course identifying regulations regarding the labeling, listing, location and installation of appliances, including hydrogen-generating and refueling operations
Learning Objectives
1. Investigate mechanical and natural ventilation with attention drawn to the Table of Minimum Ventilation Rates.
2. Analyze exhaust systems for property and health hazards associated to the system smoke development and air contamination.
3. Detail an assimilation of utilization of masonry chimneys design and appliance connections to flues relating to residential and low heat appliances.
4. Understand the layout and use of the International Mechanical Code book in reference to inspections and reviews.

BFCA Instructors will be utilizing an assessment tool during class for training purposes to engage lessons and collect your work.
Additionally, please note that participants are now required to complete a pre-test and post-test in order to receive their certificate of completion.

Those preparing to take the Commercial Mechanical Inspector or Commercial Mechanical Plans Examiner test may want to consider attending the IFGC 101: International Fuel Gas Code Essentials in addition to this course.

To receive full CEU's for this class, Attendance & Participation in the Live Zoom's are required.

Cancellations must be received in writing by sending an email to cancellations@paconstructioncodesacademy.org . Refunds will be determined by the date of the fax or email. A cancellation received less than 10 business days of the session you are registered for, is subject to a $50 administrative fee and any PayPal transactional fees. Those who cancel within 3 business days of the session date or do not attend, forfeit the full registration fee and if unpaid, will be invoiced. Credit toward future PCCA courses may be accepted upon approval from the PCCA administrator; substitutions may be accepted.
