This half-day program will focus solely on the residential side of construction in Pennsylvania under the Uniform Construction Code. Beginning with a review of the minimal requirements for plan submittal and review under the UCC regulations, the program will explore "typical" and "best practice" approaches to what documents, plans and specifications will be required by opt-in municipalities as part of its plan review process. A brief reminder overview of time frames for action will be provided as well as a discussion of plan review decisions and how those are communicated. The program will conclude with an overview and discussion of the minimal inspection requirements outlined in the UCC for residential construction and what additional inspections can be performed by the authority having jurisdiction.
