As the efficiencies of mechanical and lighting equipment increases, the controls that regulate these systems are becoming the most fruitful ways to reduce energy waste. For mechanical systems these controls include economizer operations and fault detection, thermostat scheduling capabilities and occupancy sensors, demand-controlled ventilation operation, and direct digital control systems. For lighting, controls include occupancy sensors, timers, daylight-responsive controls, specific application controls, master switches for hotels and motels, and enhanced digital lighting controls. By attending this webinar, you’ll learn basic functions of these controls and the related energy code requirements. The webinar will also discuss creating plan submittal requirements that, when implemented, make it possible to easily verify mechanical system and lighting controls.
